It’s game day in Athens, Georgia!
Georgia got good injury news earlier this week when Drew Bobo (finger laceration) and Lawson Luckie (head injury) each dropped off the injury report. But no team in the SEC is experiencing injury luck like Texas, coming off their bye the only team in the league with no one at all on their injury report.
The real Longhorns are still an enigma two-thirds of the way into the season. DawgNation asked a panel of Bulldog writers about which is the real Texas team. I’m with Connor Riley, who notes that the Burnt Orange have been good at home in Darrel K. Royal but have played their four worst performances of the year in true road games. This far into the season that isn’t a coincidence, it’s a pattern.
In case you missed it, away from the Hedges Mike White’s Hoop Hounds cruised past Georgia Tech in a game that for most of the night wasn’t as close as the 92-87 final score implies. Again, our official policy here at Dawg Sports is to pay as little attention to early season UGA basketball as possible because it has a tendency to run away scared like a baby deer if it realizes you’re looking at it. But there is a real possibility that the now undefeated Bulldogs could enter SEC play with no more than one loss. Wild times, man. Wild times.
Now go get ready to crush the Burnt Orange.
Go ‘Dawgs!!!
