JEFFERSON, Ga. – The No. 1 seeded team in the Class 3A playoffs is advancing on after Jefferson knocked off Dougherty Friday night, 55-13.
Eli Primm got the Dragons started with a 33-yard sprint for six before Boone Horn threw a 55-yard bomb to Logan Edmunds to double the lead to 14-0. After Primm got his second touchdown of the night, Colton Grant got into the scoring column with a 14-yard rushing score that pushed the lead to 28-7.
From there, Darren Pinkard had a 9-yard rushing touchdown, Dalton Dye caught an 18-yard pass for a touchdown, Jacob Beradinelli sprinted in from 39 yards out and Amire Barnes scored from the 3-yard line.
Jefferson will play host to Harlem next week after they knocked off Heritage, Catoosa.
