The PENN Rival II Reels – New and Improved and Ready for Battle
PENN is here to get anglers who live for fishing the salt ready for battle with the new PENN Rival II level wind conventional reels and Rival II level wind conventional combos. Reworked with better engineering and components, the new Rival II reels feature a lightweight graphite frame and sideplates, a marine-grade bronze alloy main gear, and a machine-cut brass pinion gear. The drag system of the reel uses the PENN HT-100 carbon fiber drag system for a smooth and consistent drag that performs even under heavy load, with a max drag of 15lbs (7kgs). Additionally, for added convenience to anglers, the reels come with auto-engaging gears and line capacity rings for easy and intuitive operation. Lastly, for added longevity and smoothness for the reel, the two bearings are shielded stainless steel bearings that will hold up to the saltwater season after season. The new Rival II level wind conventional reels are available in 3 sizes, 15, 20, 30, and in a standard or line counter model. MSRP ranges from $94.99 to $139.99, depending on model.
