Will Smith Poses Alongside His Blended Family in Rare Snap as He Celebrates His Son Trey’s 33rd Birthday

On Wednesday, Nov. 12, the Bad Boys: Ride of Die star’s ex-wife Sheree Zampino shared a few snaps on Instagram, recapping their son Trey’s 33rd birthday celebration. In one picture, Smith, 57, posed alongside Zampino, his wife Jada Pinkett Smith and his sons, Trey and Jaden Smith, as the blended family embraced each other with bright smiles on their faces.

In another photo, the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air alum posed with his sons as Trey stood between his dad and brother and wrapped his arms around their shoulders. A soundless clip in the carousel showed the blended family, including daughter Willow Smith, and friends singing to Trey on his special day.

In the caption, Zampino shared a heartwarming message to her son, praising him for his love, grace and compassion.

“Wow! You are 33 Son! What a pure delight and magnificent soul you are! Your light is infectious and the love, grace, and compassion that you live & move in is such a beautiful honor, privilege & joy to behold!” she wrote. “To say that I am honored to be your Mother would only touch the surface of the depth of my gratitude and love for you! May this 33rd year around the Sun be a portal into another dimension of brilliance & abundance! HAPPY 33rd to The AngO! @treysmithofficial”

She concluded her post with several hashtags, including #TheSmithBlend and #MyFamilia.

Smith welcomed his first son, Trey, in 1992 with his ex-wife. In 1997, the rapper wed the A Different World actress, welcoming their first child together, Jaden, the following July. Two years later, they welcomed daughter Willow in October 2000.

From rebuilding his relationship with Trey following his split from Zampino to sharing how Willow changed his parenting style, the Oscar winner hasn’t shied away from opening up about “the real weight of parenting” and how his children have pushed him to be the best version of himself.

In October 2024, Smith opened up about fatherhood while speaking on a panel as part of An Evening with Will Smith at the Grammy Museum in Los Angeles. As he shared how “vulnerability and transparency” can bring out “real strength” from within, he explained that he tries to instill those values in his kids.

“I’ve been really practicing it with my children,” Smith said. “I’m finding such a different relationship just in being able to say, ‘Hey, I don’t know, guys. I’m a partner with you in this situation, and I’m not going to pretend I’m Superman. I love you, son, but I don’t know.’ ”

The I Am Legend actor, who won the first Grammy for best rap performance in 1989, added that music helps his family to bond.

“It’s really good in the house working on music and everyone creating together and listening to each other’s music,” Smith continued.
