Rachel Zoe is stepping into a whole new world on TV.
The fashion designer, 54, opened up about stepping into The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills franchise earlier, which comes over a decade after The Rachel Zoe Project ended in 2013.
“I loved [filming for RHOBH]. I honestly, I loved being [in] an ensemble,” Zoe told PEOPLE at the Baby2Baby Gala on Nov. 8.
“It was really nice [for] it not just be on me and about me and always me,” she continued. “And I’m so much more interested in other people’s lives than I am my own, so that was really nice to kind of, I think, be with the other women all the time.”

Another big difference between the two reality shows is the difference in her lifestyle. She has since welcomed sons Skyler, 14, and Kaius, 11, with ex-husband Roger Berman, who she announced her separation from in September 2024.
“The Rachel Zoe Project ended when Sky I think was 1, and I was about to give birth to Kaius. And then [RHOBH] started when Skye was graduating middle school. So it’s actually really wild. It’s like this giant circle that happened,” the fashion stylist explained.
“I have full-blown children now and obviously, I’m getting divorced, so that’s a whole other thing,” she added. “And I think just life is life-ing really hard on all sides right now, so I just have a lot, that the juggle is very real.”
The new season of RHOBH will capture Zoe as she balances motherhood and her work alongside fellow housewives Kyle Richards, Erika Jayne and Dorit Kemsley. However, Zoe has kept mum about what else fans could see.

“I mean, I’d have to kill you if I tell you, but I can’t tell you anything,” she said of the show. “And truth be told, I haven’t seen anything, so I wouldn’t even know what to tell you.”
“But I think, I mean, we had fun. I think it’ll be interesting,” she teased.
The celebrity stylist previously opened up to PEOPLE about the differences between the projects in July. “On [The Rachel Zoe Project], I just sort of got dressed in real time every day. Now, I’m just sort of winging it,” she said.

“I’ve gone into my archives and pulled some things I’ll probably wear for filming, but I honestly wish I could say that it was planned and calculated. It’s a little bit ready, set, go,” she revealed.
Zoe, who announced that she was joining the Real Housewives franchise on Instagram in June, also opened up about getting the call to join the season 15 cast, saying, “I actually cried.”
“I was like, ‘How is this even possible?’ The whole thing is wild. It’s been a very surreal time, honestly,” Zoe added.
RHOBH season 15 premieres Dec. 4 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Bravo, with episodes available to stream the next day on Peacock.
