If you’re looking to pay your water utility bill with the White County city of Cleveland this week, you’ll need to do it the old fashioned way. That’s because City of Cleveland’s Government officials are upgrading their online payment system between Monday, November 10 and Friday, November 14.
A post on the City of Cleveland’s social media page announced early Monday that they will not be able to accept online payments as their bill pay & automated phone payment systems are currently offline while they make necessary upgrades. The upgrades are targeted to improve speed, accuracy and security for the water utility’s customers and department alike.
Officials with Cleveland City Hall told AccessWDUN that customers are still able to make payments inside their 85 South Main Street location during business hours by using cash, check or money orders, but that credit, debit and tap-to-pay cards cannot be accepted at this time. They also noted that payments may be dropped of ahead of time within their drop box, located outside the main entrance to their building.
Cleveland City officials also extend their appreciation to their customers for their understanding and patience through the upgrade process.
