Sean Tucker start or sit: Week 10 fantasy football advice

It looks like yet another day without Bucs’ RB Bucky Irving in your lineups. This week he’ll miss the Buccaneers coming off their bye to face the AFC East leading New England Patriots in Tampa Bay. Rachaad White has taken over for Irving while he deals with his injuries, but his backup, Sean Tucker, just had his best game of the season against the Saints in Week 8.

Below, we’ll go over Sean Tucker’s outlook in fantasy football for Week 10.

Fantasy Football analysis: Buccaneers, RB, Sean Tucker

We’ve seen Tucker put up big numbers when given a full workload, but so far White has been keeping him at bay. That changed somewhat against the Saints before their bye, as Tucker was more efficient as a runner and a goal line back. And now with an extra week of prep, maybe the team will look to get Tucker more involved in a tougher matchup this week. Of course, that isn’t something we can count on, but it is in the realm of possibility.

The trouble this week is that the Patriots are one of the best run defenses in the league. They’ve allowed just 3.1 yards per carry to running backs, which is league best, while no running back has hit 50 yards rushing against them. For Tucker to be a start this week, we’d also need to feel confident that the Bucs would be able to get a lead, as White is going to play on passing downs. Overall, there is some hope for more work, but the hope for fantasy ends there.
