HABERSHAM COUNTY, Ga. – A death investigation is underway in Habersham County after law enforcement and emergency personnel were called to a location on Talmadge Drive on Thursday morning.
Habersham County E-911 dispatchers were notified of a possible death at the residence just before 10:15 a.m. on Thursday, November 6. Deputies from the Habersham County Sheriff’s Office and personnel from Habersham County Emergency Services were immediately dispatched to the scene.
The Habersham County Sheriff’s Office subsequently requested the assistance of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) to lead the death investigation.
According to the GBI Director of Public and Governmental Affairs Sara Lue, “the investigation is active and ongoing.” She continued by saying, “at this time, there is no threat to public safety related to this investigation.”
