Role Model Brings Out Niall Horan as His Latest ‘Sally’ on Tour

Role Model‘s latest “Sally” is Niall Horan!

Role Model, 28, whose real name is Tucker Pillsbury, brought out the “Heaven” singer onstage while performing his hit song “Sally, When the Wine Runs Out” on the second night of his sold-out run in London on Tuesday, Nov. 4.

For the occasion, Horan, 32, wore light wash denim paired with a white tank layered under a plaid shirt. He completed the look with a black belt and black shoes as he danced across the stage with Role Model, who wore jeans, a button down, and a cropped black jacket.

Horan’s appearance went viral on social media after a Role Model fan account posted the onstage moment. In the clip, Horan can be seen dancing around and sharing the mic with Role Model as they sing the viral hit.

“Sally, When the Wine Runs Out” has been gaining traction on social media since its release on Role Model’s latest deluxe album, Kansas Anymore (The Longest Goodbye), in February. Throughout Role Model’s No Place Like Tour, the “Some Protector” singer has brought out numerous celebrity guests — including Natalie Portman, Reneé Rapp, Dylan Minette, Bowen Yang, Charli xcx, and more.

While speaking with James Austin Johnson of Saturday Night Live at Rolling Stone’s Musicians on Musicians event, the “Look at That Woman” singer revealed that he got the idea for his social media famous “Sally” segment from influencer Jake Shane.

When asked by James who books the “Sallys,” Role Model said simply “Me,” before clarifying how the fan-favorite moment came to be.

After he put out the deluxe version of his 2024 album Kansas Anymore, the “Old Recliners” singer explained that the tour kicked off in Phoenix, where he did he first show “normal.”

However, when the band went to Dallas, it was around the time that a joke began circling online that the influencer and host of podcast Therapuss, Jake Shane, was the inspiration for the song.

“He happened to be in Dallas and I was like this would be funny to like play into that and he came up,” he said. “Originally I was going to have him up for a different song, something else and then we did that and people loved that, so we started bringing up fans.”

Role Model has appeared twice on Shane’s podcast Therapuss, which in part prompted humorous fan speculation about the influencer’s role in shaping the song.

The “Sally” segment is one of several notable musician tour segments this year. Sabrina Carpenter similarly acknowledges celebrity guests by “arresting” them with pink fuzzy hand cuffs for being “hot.” Her arrests have included Joe Keery, Margaret Qualley, Gigi Hadid, Corey Fogelmanis, and more.
