Incumbent Braselton Mayor Kurt Ward won his re-election bid Tuesday night.
Ward won 58.13% of the vote in the three-way race for mayor, beating out former school board member Michael Cronic and local business-owner Brandon Reed.
Ward, who has served as mayor of Braselton since 2021, said in an interview prior to Tuesday’s election that he is confident recent code and comprehensive plan changes made since he became mayor have set the town up for success moving foward.
“There are some wonderful people in Braselton. There are some wonderful opportunities in Braselton. We’re a model city for many other cities around the state of Georgia,” Ward said. “We want to continue with planned growth. We understand growth needs to happen, but we want to move forward with planned growth with high standards and fiscal responsibility.”
