Week 9 is in the books, with Caleb Williams and Joe Flacco’s numbers sitting at the top after their back and forth, high scoring affair in Chicago. Flacco has been an absolutely on-fire streamer the last three games and now he heads to his bye week before he should continue to be a streamable QB against the Steelers in Week 11. Williams on the other hand needs to play defenses like the Bengals to put up good numbers, but this week he does get a weak Giants defense to see if he can keep the fantasy points flowing.
Week 10 byes
Kansas City Chiefs, Cincinnati Bengals, Tennessee Titans, Dallas Cowboys
Quarterbacks on bye
Patrick Mahomes, Joe Flacco, Cam Ward, Dak Prescott
QB streamer of the week
Jaxson Dart, Giants vs Bears
We just saw a 40 year old Joe Flacco pass for 470 yards against the Bears and this week rookie Jaxson Dart gets a chance to be part of another high scoring affair. Both the Bears and Giants defenses are weak against the pass and and over/under of 48.5 shows us that these two middling offenses might just put up soe back and forth points much like the Bengals and Bears did last week.
QB injuries/news
Jayden Daniels, Commanders
Daniels hurt his throwing arm against the Seahawks in Week 10 and is going to be out for a while. We’re still waiting on a timetable for his return, but we know Marcus Mariota is going to get significant starts in his place.
C.J. Stroud, Texans
Stroud suffered a concussion in Week 9 against the Broncos and will need to pass through concussion protocol to be able to play in Week 10 against the Jaguars. If he can’t go, Davis Mills will get the start. Mills looked competent in relief of Stroud.
Kyler Murray, Cardinals
Murray has a mid-foot sprain and missed the last two games and then got a Week 8 bye to heal up, but he was held out against the Cowboys in Week 9, while Jacoby Brissett has played much better statistically and got a Monday Night Football win against the Cowboys. Head coach Jonathan Gannon says Murray is the starter when healthy, but that seems counterintuitive to winning games at this point.
Brock Purdy, 49ers
Purdy’s toe injury flared up during their Week 4 loss to the Jaguars and he’s been unable to play the last five games. There is a real chance he returns this week for a divisional game against the Rams after being questionable to play in Week 9.
