Dalton Schultz start or sit: Week 8 fantasy football advice

The 2-4 Houston Texans host the 5-2 San Francisco 49ers as 2.5-point home favorites this Sunday. It appears that Nico Collins won’t be available due to a concussion and Christian Kirk is out with a hamstring injury, so the Texans will need some offensive skill players to step up this week against the 49ers. One player who stepped up last week was tight end Dalton Schultz. Coming off their bye, Schultz had his best game, as he caught 9-of-10 targets for 98 yards. His previous target high on the season was six.

Below, we’ll go over Dalton Schultz’s outlook in fantasy football for Week 8.

Fantasy Football analysis: Texans, TE, Dalton Schultz

At this point there just aren’t many reliable targets for CJ Stroud to throw to. It also seems like they decided during the bye to give Schultz more work, probably to combat their poor offensive line. I would say we can’t count on another big target day, but with Collins and Kirk out, I believe they won’t have much choice to give him a big target share in what should be a close game.
