Hundreds of Hall County high school students gathered this past week at Lanier Technical College for the annual Young Professionals Seminar.
The seminar is part of the Hall County School District’s Work-Based Learning program and is designed to prepare students for professional success after graduation. It was held on Tuesday, October 21, and Wednesday, October 22.
“The seminar underscores the vital role Work-Based Learning plays in workforce development empowering students to build professional confidence, develop employability skills, and envision their futures as contributing members of their communities,” a statement from the school district said.
In total, more than 650 students attended the 2025 seminar, which featured keynote presentations focused on career skills and interactive discussions on networking, work-life balance and financial planning. The seminar was capped by addresses from local and state legislators.
“The Young Professionals Seminar is part of Hall County WBL’s ongoing commitment to connecting classroom learning with real-world application,” the district said. “By engaging with community leaders and industry professionals, students gain a deeper understanding of workplace expectations and the skills needed to succeed in their chosen career fields.”
