Now, tied atop the board are the Wildcats and Wolverines, who both got decisive Elite Eight wins: Michigan by 33 over Tennessee and Arizona by 15 over Purdue. Considering Michigan and Arizona play in the next round, what the odds are essentially telling us is that the winner of that game will be the favorite to win the national championship. In that matchup, the Wolverines opened as a 1.5-point favorite. In the other semifinal, Illinois is a 1.5-point favorite over UConn. The Illini last made it to the Final Four back in 2005, while UConn last made it in 2024. Arizona is making its first Final Four appearance since 2001, and Michigan last went in 2018.
