A 19-year-old man was arrested early Saturday morning after authorities said he unlawfully entered a home and engaged in lewd acts with a juvenile.
A release Monday morning from the Baldwin Police Department said officers were called to a home in the Chandler Heights subdivision off of B.C. Grant Road at around 2:15 a.m. Saturday. Officers learned that Elvin David Martinez-Bonilla, age 19, had entered the home without the homeowner’s permission.
“The homeowner encountered David hiding in an upstairs room and a brief struggle ensued,” the statement from Baldwin Police said. “After the brief struggle, David fled the residence on foot.”
Martinez-Bonilla was reportedly nude when he was found by the homeowner, with police adding that their investigation determined he had “engaged in lewd acts” with a juvenile under the age of 16 while in the home.
He was later found and arrested at a BP gas station on Charlie Davis Road. He faces charges including child molestation, public indecency, burglary and simple battery.
The case remains under investigation as of Monday.
