
GEORGIA STATE PATROL NARRATIVE:
“(Monday morning about 10:00) a Forsyth County School Bus was traveling northbound on GA 400 in Lumpkin County, approaching the intersection of Burnt Stand Road.
The driver of the school bus was distracted by a conversation with another employee inside the bus, causing the bus to rear-end a passenger car stopped at a traffic signal.
Nine students on the bus complained of injuries, along with the bus driver and one adult school employee. The driver of the passenger car also complained of injuries, for a total of 12 reported injuries…
The bus driver was cited for following too closely.”
