Northeast Georgia Physicians Group moved its urgent care location in Toccoa to a new location that now accepts patients of all ages, including newborns.
The urgent care moved from the Medical Plaza on Big A Road to the new space just a quarter mile away at 274 Big A Road. The new facility features larger exam rooms, a larger waiting area and upgraded X-ray capabilities.
“I am very happy to be able to provide pediatric urgent care in Toccoa with NGPG,” said Michael Maley, MD, a longtime northeast Georgia-area pediatrician. “I have been a primary care pediatrician for decades. This clinic will help local parents, so they do not have to drive far when they are looking for specialized, after-hours care for their newborn, school-aged child or teen. It will save them from having to take their child to an emergency room as well.”
Along with the providers patients are used to seeing at NGPG Urgent Care in Toccoa, Maribel Miller, MD, will work alongside Dr. Maley and a handful of NGPG’s pediatric nurse practitioners take care of the unique needs of children, including infants.
“We knew we needed a space that continued to show our commitment to this community, and this location just made sense,” said Bobby Norris, vice president of operations for NGPG. “It’s easily accessible from Big A Road and has plenty of parking. We’ll still be caring for adults and providing the same care we did at our other location, but the pediatric aspect here is definitely the cherry on top.”
NGPG Urgent Care is open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., accepting its last patient at 7:45 p.m. The location does accept walk-ins, however, patients can join the waitlist before leaving home and see wait times by visiting ngpg.org/urgent-care.
