Kylie Jenner is taking on a familiar role in Charli xcx’s upcoming movie, The Moment

During a Nov. 12 appearance on her sister Khloé Kardashian‘s Khloé in Wonder Land podcast, the 28-year-old reality star revealed that she will be playing herself in the upcoming A24 film, which is “based on an original idea” from the musician.

“It’s major, obviously,” Jenner said. “Oh my god. For the Charli movie coming out, I was — Khloé, I was so scared for days to actually do it. I had a very small part. I mean, I had a lot of lines, but I was just so afraid.”

“I think I used to do a lot more things out of my comfort zone, and now I’m used to being very sheltered, staying in like a, you know, safe box for me,” the beauty mogul continued. “It’s probably the reason why I don’t share as much, just to not be judged or criticized or — years of that takes a toll on you and I think at a certain point you’re like, ‘Okay, I’m going to do A, B, and C to just protect myself’ … I was very scared to do this and very proud of myself when I did it.”

“I committed to it and then I was like, ‘Wow, I’m in a really bad place and I just don’t know, in a month from now, if I’ll be okay to do this.’ I think it was like a month away,” Jenner recalled. “I know the director, obviously, Aiden [Zamiri]. So I was in contact with him, and I’m like, ‘I really want to do it. I hope that I’m in a better place. Like, just give me a chance. Like I’ll get it together.’ ”

As for who she turned to for advice during the most difficult times, the mom of two shared that her family served as a huge support system for her — especially her sister Kim Kardashian, who recently starred in Hulu’s All’s Fair

“Closer to, I actually called Kim and I was just like, ‘I know you’re like in your acting bag right now and I just need a little encouragement and some advice,’ ” she explained. “And I read the lines to her like how I would say it, and she was like, ‘You’re saying it perfect. You got this. This is so easy.’ ”

Now, the Kylie Cosmetics founder emphasized that she wouldn’t shy away from the idea of pursuing more acting projects in the future. As she put it, “I would do it if it was like the right thing and the right role.”
