According to a press release, Greer’s recognition came in light of her “long-time and passionate advocacy on behalf of International Medical Corps’ work around the world.” The organization said in the release that Greer has traveled to Ukraine, Jordan and Puerto Rico to see its work first-hand, thereby raising awareness and funds for its relief efforts.
“My friend Judy doesn’t do anything halfway. So, when she pointed her huge, empathetic, curious heart at International Medical Corps, she was bound to make her mark,” Garner said in the release. “I am so proud of my deeply human humanitarian friend and cannot wait to celebrate her, along with the lifesaving work of International Medical Corps.”
The Garner-Greer reunion comes 21 years after the duo appeared onscreen together for 13 Going on 30, in which Garner played Jenna Rink, an ’80s kid who suddenly found herself in 2004 as a 30-year-old woman. Greer played her not-so-great pal Lucy Wyman.

The pair are close friends in real life. In 2023, Garner shared an Instagram post commemorating two decades of friendship with Greer, writing, “Twenty years with my JG. I sure am proud to be your friend. Happy birthday, @missjudygreer.”
In a 2021 interview, Greer shared that the two met on the set of 13 Going on 30 in an interview with Insider, saying of Garner: “Who can ever say enough about her? She’s literally like what everyone says, like the greatest of all time.”
“She was just a really great leader,” Greer added. “She never complained. She was never late to work. She was professional, but she was also crazy fun and, obviously, so talented. When you have someone like that as No. 1 on the call sheet, you really can’t complain about anything. Like, you’re an a—— if you do.”

The co-stars also recently reunited on the set of Garner’s series The Last Thing He Told Me when, on Saturday, March 29, they were photographed in Paris amid filming for the second season of the Apple TV+ thriller series. The two were pictured hugging and both wore long coats and held bags as they shared the sweet moment together.
