Officials with the Hall County Government are taking time to remind area residents and businesses that Hall County’s administrative offices, courts, community centers, animal shelter, recycling center, libraries, as well as the Hall County Government Family Health Center and UGA Extension Office, will be closed Thursday, November 28 and Friday, November 29 for the Thanksgiving holiday.
Essential public safety and public works personnel will continue service as usual during the holiday.
The Hall County Landfill will be closed on Thanksgiving Day and will reopen for normal business hours on Friday. Compactor sites will operate from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day and will be open during normal business hours on Friday.
Hall County community centers, including the North Hall Tech Center library branch, will remain closed through Saturday, November 30. Normal business hours will resume on Monday, December 2.
The Gainesville, Spout Springs, Blackshear Place and Murrayville library branches will reopen at normal business hours on Saturday, November 30. The Murrayville Library will extend its hours and remain open until 5 p.m.
The Hall County Animal Shelter will resume normal business hours from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, November 30.
Many of the county’s services are available online, including the renewal of vehicle tags, payment of taxes, finding adoptable pets and more.
