Two women were arrested in Gwinnett County after authorities say they were found with nearly $1 million worth of counterfeit designer merchandise earlier this month.
The Gwinnett County Police Department said officers received a complaint from a citizen about the fake merchandise being sold both online and in person. The suspects were identified by police as Tameka and Quentessa Gordon.
Officers then searched a home in Lawrenceville on May 13.
“During the search, officers recovered a large quantity of counterfeit designer merchandise from inside the home and a vehicle associated with the investigation,” the police department said. “The total estimated value of the counterfeit merchandise seized was more than $900,000.”
Police also say around 60 grams of marijuana and a firearm were also found during the search.
Quentessa and Tameka Gordon were both arrested on charges including selling goods with forged or counterfeit trademarks.
