Since its inception in 1818, the Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) has lost six me six men to line-of-duty deaths and they were remembered Friday, Peace Officers Memorial Day, at a ceremony in South Hall.
That’s when military veterans who live in the Del Webb at Chateau Elan community raised the American flag and the Thin Blue Line flag in remembrance of local officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice in service to their communities.
At the start of their Friday shift, several members of HCSO’s uniform patrol division joined the group for the ceremony.
