The City of Flowery Branch announced on Saturday that they are opening donations for the Gainesville-Hall Meals on Wheels program.
The local Meals on Wheels mission this year is to keep senior citizens warm this holiday season.
Flowery Branch says you can help in what they’re calling “Secret Santa for seniors” by donating new blankets or socks at one of their drop-off locations at City Hall (5410 Pine Street, Flowery Branch) or their Department of Fun building (5512 Main Street, Flowery Branch).
Or donations can be made through their Amazon registry at the QR code in the photo or at this link.
The deadline for donations is Nov. 21.
The Gainesville-area Meals on Wheels program helps frail elderly people living in Hall County. Roughly 500 seniors receive hot lunches delivered by volunteers Monday through Friday.
You can donate directly to the program at this link.
