Brooks Nader and her family love to go over the top — even when it comes to their holiday card.
Along with her three sisters, Mary Holland, Grace Ann and Sarah Jane Nader, and their parents, Breaux and Holland, the model went all out with an ’80s-inspired Christmas card to ring in the season. The family teamed up with Minted to create a themed card that had personal significance.
“Our parents’ favorite era of music is the ’80s,” Brooks, 28, tells PEOPLE. “We once dressed up ’80s themed for Christian camp as a family so decided to run it back! We worked with Minted to find a card design to match the vibe and landed on a cute square style to give it that retro photography look.”
The Naders chose “Old is Cool Christmas” design by Minted artist Helena Vitto and went with a square format card with a retro photography vibe and a midnight blue back.
In the snaps, the family wears matching denim outfits as well as voluminous hairstyles. Even Brooks’ dad got a stylish ‘do.
“He’s a girl dad so he’s used to it,” Brooks says. “His hair barely needed work!”
The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model adds that Breaux is “immune to our crazy fashion choices” but “was pleasantly surprised to see us fully clothed for once.”

The shoot came together largely thanks to Brooks, who reached out to Tommy Hilfiger for their looks. The designer ended up sending several options. “My parents couldn’t believe it,” Brooks said.
On set, the model says they were “blasting ’80s music the whole time dancing, drinking.”
“It was such a fun day!” she added.
The Nader Christmas card is a sacred tradition — no boyfriends or husbands allowed.
“Even when you get married to a Nader sister it doesn’t guarantee you a spot in the card,” Brooks says.

When it comes to holiday traditions, the Naders like to keep things wholesome. “We love cooking gumbo all together, drinking and being merry!” Brooks says. “Mom always has us read the story of Jesus’s birth, she’s a good Christian that way.”

Her favorite part of the holidays? “The food and being silly together as a family,” she says.
