ASI Southeast hosted a graduation dinner for its Work-Based Learning (WBL) students from Stephens County High School (SCHS) and Franklin County High School on Wednesday, May 13. ASI honored 12 this year, its largest group since it began employing WBL students six years ago. Stephen Wallace, Manufacturing Manager of ASI Southeast in Stephens County, said honoring these students was important.
Jennifer Blasingame, WBL Coordinator at SCHS, is grateful for the partnership with ASI.
SCHS senior Tate Bartmas, who recently signed to play golf at Toccoa Falls College and major in business management, received the Future Leader Award and spoke about working at ASI.
Skyler Phillips, a senior at SCHS, received the Iron Man Award for registering 3,150 hours with ASI, which is a new record for a WBL student. He shared what he has learned from working at ASI.
The Continuous Improvement Award went to Landon Motes, and the Built Not Hired Award went to Riley Parshall.
ASI presented each student with a graduation gift.
After the awards ceremony, a plant tour was given, allowing the seniors to show their parents where they work and what they make.
ASI Southeast manufactures washroom accessories, toilet partitions, and lockers in Stephens County that are shipped around the globe.
