The Barrow County Sheriff’s Office assisted the Winder Police Department with a barricaded suspect incident on Saturday in the area of Box Circle in Winder.
At approximately 9:12 p.m., law enforcement officers from both departments were dispatched to the area and secured the perimeter.
After the extended law enforcement response, members of the Barrow County Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team responded to the area to assist in the operation.
The suspect was identified as Alexander Agapi who surrendered peacefully shortly after midnight and was taken into custody without incident.
No deputies or officers were injured during the response.
Agapi was arrested on charges of Aggravated Assault and Terroristic Threats with additional charges pending as the investigation remains ongoing.
He was transported to the Barrow County Detention Center for processing.
