A single-family home in Maysville sustained minor damage after a fire on Thursday, Nov. 27.
Banks County Fire and Emergency Services responded to the home near Skeeter Drive at around 4:41 p.m. Units arrived to find smoke showing from the inside.
The residents were at home at the time and were able to escape without injury. The fire was swiftly brought under control, causing most of the damage in the room of origin.
Smoke damage was spotted throughout the home. The cause of the fire was determined to be an electrical issue.
