Performing on Austin City Limits TV is a “bucket list” item for Kelsea Ballerini.

On the show, Ballerini performed a high-energy version of “Baggage” from her Patterns album with a full band.
For “Penthouse,” however, she staged an emotional version of the Rolling Up the Welcome Mat track with only piano accompaniment — and lyrics from the “healed version.”
“Austin City Limits, thank you guys so much for having us tonight. What a bucket list, what a dream,” said Ballerini in the clip. “Thank you guys for being here.”
She continued, “I hope you had as much fun as we did, yeah? My name is Kelsea. I’ll see you soon, I promise.”

In addition to Ballerini’s performance, Cam will sing selections from her new album, All Things Light, during the ACL TV episode, which airs on PBS and will stream on the PBS App.
“There are many great country singers, and many great country songwriters, but not so many who bring those talents together into one,” said Terry Lickona, the series’ executive producer, in a statement.

“Even fewer can bring the intimacy and honesty of deeply personal songs to the stage, or in this case, the ACL stage,” continued Lickona. “Both Kelsea Ballerini and Cam have those unique talents.”
The performance comes after Ballerini’s new EP, Mount Pleasant, was released on Friday, Nov. 14. The project features the single “I Sit in Parks.”

“i’ve absolutely fallen in love with making EP’s in between albums,” she said on Instagram. “there’s such a freedom and unbounded nature to the process, from the writing to the production, that i have found to be a creative exercise and also palate cleanser for my own artistry.”
Ballerini continued, “mount pleasant is a collection of six songs that i’ve written throughout the summer, marking a chapter of heavy self examination, longing, and stepping further into who i am as a 32 year old woman.”
