We began with 27 Boys XC Runner of the Year Nominees. After tediously studying each nominee, BLITZ has narrowed it down to a finalist group of five athletes. The finalists who are locked in ahead of the vote for Runner of the Year include: Will Gipson (Franklin), Holden Payne (Union), Teagan Penland (Tallulah Falls), Finn Wakeman (Jefferson), and Witt Windham (Lumpkin).
NEXT: It’s time for a Fan Vote to get in the ‘Last Finalist.’ Choose from one of the select runners (scroll to bottom or visit our Polls Page). Once that vote is finished, that last finalist will join those already locked in. Our internal vote (not public) will feature up to 25 local sports media members voting Heisman-style for the winner of each fall sport.
