CLARKESVILLE, GA – North Georgia Technical College recently celebrated 181 graduates during its spring 2026 commencement ceremony in Clarkesville, highlighting the college’s reach across Northeast Georgia and beyond.
The graduating class represented students from more than two dozen Georgia counties, along with students from North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Arkansas.
Habersham County produced the largest number of graduates with 46 students completing programs ranging from nursing and cybersecurity to electrical systems technology and business management. Stephens County followed with 30 graduates, while White County had 20 graduates and Franklin County had 15. Hall County accounted for 13 graduates, and Rabun County had 12 students recognized during the ceremony.
Other counties represented included Banks, Barrow, Cherokee, Coweta, DeKalb, Fannin, Forsyth, Fulton, Gilmer, Gwinnett, Hart, Jackson, Lumpkin, Madison, Paulding, Pickens, Richmond, Towns, Union, Walton and Wilkes counties.
The commencement ceremony was held May 12 at the Dr. Mark A. Ivester Center for Living and Learning on the Clarkesville campus. It was the first commencement to be held in the newly-opened building.
NGTC officials said approximately 150 students participated in the ceremony.
